We’re pleased to offer our overnight guests the opportunity to capture timeless moments during their stay at 27 State Street Bed & Breakfast. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to document your visit, guests may request access to select areas of the property for professional photography sessions.
This amenity is available exclusively to registered overnight guests. All photography session requests are subject to approval and must be made in advance.

Photography sessions are available as a premium hourly add-on to your stay. We recommend inquiring about this amenity at the time of booking to ensure availability, but you may also request it no later than 7 days prior to arrival.

Photography Session Guidelines
Advance Reservation & Approval Required
- Photography sessions must be requested during booking or at least 7 days before your stay.
- All requests are subject to approval. Walk-in or unapproved sessions are not permitted.
Photographer Not Provided
- Guests must supply their own photographer.
- Charleston, a city of significant beauty and history, is home to many extremely talented photographers. If you do not already have a photographer in mind, we are happy to provide recommendations for photographers in the area upon request.
- Photographers may be required to present proof of liability insurance.
Privacy & Consideration
- Sessions must not disrupt the comfort or privacy of other guests. Photography is limited to your room and approved common areas only.
Request to Move Furnishings
- Photography is permitted inside your private guest room and designated common areas. However, furnishings and décor may not be moved without prior staff approval. If you would like to move any items for the session, please request permission from staff before doing so.
Weather & Rescheduling
- Outdoor sessions are weather-dependent, though portions of the courtyard and veranda are covered, allowing for flexibility in inclement weather.
- If rescheduling is necessary due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances:
- Rescheduled sessions must take place during the same stay, or
- The photography session credit may be applied to a future reservation, subject to availability.
- Please note: The cost of your original stay will remain unchanged; only the photography session fee will carry over.
How to Book
Photography Session Agreement
Prior to your scheduled session, guests will be required to sign a short agreement confirming the following:
- Session date, time, and approved access areas
- Acknowledgment that furnishings and décor may not be moved in guest rooms or any common areas without prior staff permission
- Agreement to respect the privacy of other guests and maintain a quiet, professional atmosphere
- Understanding of the weather and rescheduling policy
- Photographer liability coverage (if applicable)
- A digital or printed copy of the agreement will be provided once your session is approved.
